Hi, I’m Sofía.

I hold a Master of Public Health from Brown University and provide communications support for reproductive health and justice organizations. I am the founder and creative director of Venus in Cancer, a community-centered, gender expansive slow fashion brand and apothecary.

I am a certified prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher, and completed training in yoga for menstruation through yoga alliance accredited institutions. I am currently a prenatal and postnatal yoga apprentice for Leonora Willis, full-spectrum doula, yoga instructor, and owner of Daughter of Samoa. I am also pursuing a 200-hour teacher training certification and studying to become a certified Lactation Educator.

I am a published author and fluently read, write, and speak in Spanish and English. I enjoy surfing, hiking, writing, cooking vegan food with my partner, spending time with my guinea pigs, and traveling with my friends and family. My pronouns are she, ella, they, elle.

I am from Rosario, Argentina which sits on the Charrúa and Moqoit territories and I currently reside in Berkeley, California which sits on the territory of xučyun (Huichin), the ancestral and unceded land of the Chochenyo speaking Ohlone people, the successors of the sovereign Verona Band of Alameda County.
