My Approach

I am currently a certified prenatal yoga teacher and an apprentice for Leonora Willis, Indigenous birthkeeper and yoga teacher from Samoa. My commitment to the somatic aspects of reproductive justice took shape through being in community with acompañantes de aborto and birthkeepers.

As a compañera in a period of reproductive transformation and transition, I help bring awareness to sensations and breath through visualizations and uplift one’s ability to make space in the body and take up space through movement. Together, we move through tending to the changing body and mind with the breath and cultivate each individual’s sovereignty for self-empowerment when navigating any stage of their reproductive journey.

I bring tenderness and vitality to my yoga practice. I apply a trauma-informed and flexible approach to foster inclusivity and transparency. I hope these practices cultivate care, strength, grounding, self-determination, self-love, and collective power. I always welcome feedback and suggestions for making practices more supportive for my students.

The music you can expect to hear in my classes ranges from soothing synths, handpan music, ambient sound bowls, nature soundscapes, and vocal melodies to reggaeton, cumbia, and indie/folk/pop from Latin America and Spain.
